Day 1 – Tuesday, June 4, 2024: Late afternoon arrival at The Eden Resort & Suites, located at 222 Eden Road, Lancaster, PA. This evening dinner is included Smorgasbord Style at the Bird-in-Hand Restaurant. Good food has been a tradition with the Smucker family since their great-grandparents first moved to Bird-in-Hand at the turn of the century. The Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant take the tradition of home-cooked recipes to an all-new level with their recently expanded facility. Enjoy a tempting selection of entrees such as fried chicken, baked fish, beef pot roast, baked ham, roast turkey, port & sauerkraut, fried shrimp, vegetables and other delicious foods. Includes soup, salad & bread bar, dessert bar and beverage. You'll never leave hungry.
Following dinner, enjoy the show, The Confession on the Bird-in-Hand Stage. Katie Lapp's parents have been keeping a secret. Day 2 – Wednesday, June 5, 2024: After a hearty included breakfast buffet, we will visit the Bird-In-Hand Farmers Market. At the market you will find a brightly lit, well-kept market featuring approximately 30 local vendors offering a wide variety of homemade baked goods, spices, bulk foods, specialty teas and coffee, fresh fruits and vegetables, canned goods and preserves, meats, cheese, nuts, dips, fudge, and candy. There are handmade quilts, leather goods, wooden toys and beautiful silk flower arrangements. Watch funnel cakes, soft pretzels and fudge being made, and enjoy a delicious sandwich, homeade soup or daily luncheon special at one of the snack counters. Afterwards arrive at Sight & Sound Millennium Theatre for the 11am performance of DANIEL. From the fiety furnace to the infamous den of lions, DANIEL is a spectacular theatrical experience for the whole family. Witness one of the Bible's most hope-filled stories as it comes to life in this brand-new original producation at Sight & Sound Theatre. Before departing for home enjoy lunch on your own at Casey Jones Restaurant where you will dine in one of their two original P-70 80-ton dining cars that once rode the rails of the Pennsylvania Railroad in the early 1900's. Whether your appeitie is as big as John Henry or as small as nugget of coal, we offer fresh, fun and affordable dining that wont leave you dissappointed. Enjoy jaw-dropping PA Dutch farmland views from the rail car. This is our main meal - a snack stop will be made en route home.
