TENTATIVE ITINERARY:

Day 1 – Tuesday, May 23^rd: Travel to Lancaster, PA to immerse yourself in the Amish Farmlands and enjoy a performance of MOSES at the Sight and Sound Theatre. While traveling south, we will make a comfort stop for lunch on your own before our afternoon arrival at the Eden Resort and Suites. A local guide will take us on the “Roads Less Traveled” through the heart of the Lancaster farmland and share information about the Amish people, their history and life on the farms. A stop at an Amish Quilt & Craft Shop will made before we are welcomed into a real Amish home as their guests for an authentic Amish dinner. Enjoy their kind and gracious hospitality as the family serves you a delicious Penn Dutch feast. Afterwards we will return to the hotel.

Day 2 – Wednesday, May 24^th: Breakfast is included at the hotel before we start our day with a visit to the Bird-In-Hand Farmer’s Market. Local vendors offer a variety of homemade baked goods, specialty foods, candys and bulk foods in addition to handmade quilts, leather goods and wooden toys.  Next will be a highlight of the trip, the Sight and Sound Theatre’s production of Moses.

Set adrift as a baby, Moses is an unlikely hero – until God calls him to lead his people out of Egypt and into the promised land.  Experience on the Bible’s epic stories as Moses comes to life with massive sets, special effects, and live animals in this original stage production from Sight & Sound Theatres.

Following the show, we are off to the Kitchen Kettle Village. You will have time to stroll browse the 40+ shops and restaurants built around their nationally celebrated Jam & Relish Kitchen. Lunch is on your own before we depart. A short stop will be made on route home for restrooms and a lite dinner on your own.
