TENTATIVE ITINERARY:

Day One - Depart the Rochester area for LANCASTER, PA. Upon arrival, check in to the EDEN HOTEL & RESORT. After some time to freshen-up, head to the BIRD IN HAND RESTAURANT FOR AN INCLUDED SMORGASBORD DINNER, where good food has been a tradition! Enjoy a tempting selection of entrees such as fried chicken, baked fish, beef pot roast, baked ham, roast turkey, pork & sauerkraut, fried shrimp, vegetables and other delicious foods. Includes soup, salad & bread bar, dessert bar and beverage.

After dinner, it is time for THE HOME GAME AT BIRD IN HAND STAGE. Returning to this stage, this fun, dramatic and very moving show from Blue Gate Musicals consistently plays to rave reviews and standing ovations. For as long as he can remember, handsome Levi Troyer has loved playing baseball. He daydreams about playing in the major leagues, but his father expects him to remain on the family farm. Written by Martha Bolton, based on her novel, The Home Game will win its way into your heart.

Day Two - Enjoy included breakfast at the hotel before heading out to meet your STEP ON GUIDE for a morning of touring. AMISH FARMLANDS, STOLTZFUS BROOMS, ELI’S STAND, & KITCHEN KETTLE VILLAGE are all on the docket!

In the afternoon, arrive at SIGHT & SOUND THEATER for the production of JONAH. Jonah is a prophet and a man desperately trying to outrun his calling from God - a calling that leads straight to his enemy, Nineveh. After uncharted adventures lead him off a storm-tossed ship and into the belly of a giant fish, Jonah believes all hope is lost. But in the depths, will he learn how to receive grace and extend mercy, even toward those he opposed the most? Complete with magnificent sets, immersive special effects, and live animals, JONAH is a state-of-the-art theatrical experience for the whole family. Experience one of the Bible’s most powerful stories of mercy as Jonah’s journey comes to life like never before in this original production from Sight & Sound Theatres.

Following the performance, enjoy and INCLUDED PA DUTCH DINNER prepared by an Amish Family on their family farm.

Day Three - Your final day will begin with another INCLUDED BREAKFAST prior to a visit to KREIDER FARMS. This 90-minute dairy farm tour offers a high-tech view of farming including a drive down the middle of their Titanic-sized loafing barn, otherwise known as the cow palace and a bird's eye view of the milking merry-go-round. You'll have an opportunity to climb the Silo which is 100 feet tall and approximately 170 steps to the top. Enjoy time at the observation tower. See how old-fashioned dedication to quality milk products harnessed with state-of-the-art technology produces an unbeatable team. Enjoy a cup of white or chocolate milk at the end of your tour!

Finally, before departing the area, stop at SELTZERS SMOKEHOUSE, where over a century of tradition brings the renowned Lebanon Bologna to life. This 30–45 minute guided tour offers an immersive experience into the art of smoked meat production. Take away with you one of their famous sandwiches in an included box lunch for the ride home!
