TENTATIVE ITINERARY:

Day One – Your journey begins with a departure via a deluxe motorcoach, featuring a built-in comfort and lunch stop along the way. In the late afternoon, you will check into the COURTYARD BY MARRIOTT DULLES AIRPORT HERNDON, where hassle-free baggage handling is fully included. Afterward, the group will board the motorcoach for a brief drive to enjoy an INCLUDED DINNER at GLORY DAYS GRILL, a lively sports-bar chain known for its hearty American fare.

Day Two – Start your day by enjoying an INCLUDED BREAKFAST at the hotel before meeting your guide to board the motorcoach and depart for Washington, D.C. Upon arrival, embark on a GUIDED "PINK STROLL" and photo opportunity among the historic Japanese cherry trees along the Tidal Basin. These trees were a 1912 gift of 3,000 cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to celebrate the close friendship between the United States and Japan.

During your stroll around the Tidal Basin, you will visit three iconic landmarks. First, stop by the FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT MEMORIAL, a unique, garden-like setting divided into four outdoor rooms—one for each of his terms in office—featuring shade trees, waterfalls, and expressive statuary. Next, visit the MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. NATIONAL MEMORIAL, a powerful and emotionally evocative space designed to convey Dr. King's themes of justice, democracy, and hope. Finally, stop at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL, where a 19-foot statue of the third president stands beneath a rotunda inscribed with his famous writings, offering unforgettable views across the water.

After your morning tour, board the motorcoach and head to the PENTAGON SHOPPING MALL, where you will have time to enjoy lunch on your own. Following lunch, depart for a visit to ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY, America’s sacred shrine to valor and sacrifice. This historic square mile serves as the final resting place for thousands of soldiers alongside notable figures such as President John F. Kennedy, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, and Joe Louis. Your visit includes tram tickets, which provide narrated transportation to significant locations including the John F. Kennedy Eternal Flame and the TOMB OF THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER, where you can witness the solemn CHANGING OF THE GUARD CEREMONY.

Later in the afternoon, reboard the coach and stop at the NATIONAL WORLD WAR II MEMORIAL. This monument honors the 16 million who served in the armed forces, the more than 400,000 who died, and the millions who supported the war effort from home, standing as a tribute to the spirit and sacrifice of the American people.

Conclude your evening with an INCLUDED DINNER at TONY & JOE'S SEAFOOD PLACE, which features delicious seafood and scenic river views through floor-to-ceiling windows. After dinner, depart for an ILLUMINATED MONUMENT DRIVING TOUR to see Washington’s grand buildings and memorials brilliantly lit against the night sky. The tour includes a stop at the Marine Corps Memorial (Iwo Jima Statue), one of the largest bronze statues ever cast, before returning to the hotel for the evening.

Day Three – Begin your morning by enjoying an INCLUDED BREAKFAST at the hotel before boarding the motorcoach with your Washington, D.C. professional guide. Your first destination is MOUNT VERON, the historic estate, Southern plantation, and final resting place of George Washington. Situated on the scenic banks of the Potomac River, this landmark details the life of the "Father of Our Country" and provides fascinating insights into colonial times.

While at the estate, you will visit the FORD ORIENTATION CENTERand the DONALD W. REYNOLDS MUSEUM AND EDUCATION CENTER. Across 25 state-of-the-art galleries, the museum features sculptures, paintings, portraits, models, films, and diverse artifacts—many displayed at Mount Vernon for the first time—that vividly describe the accomplishments of our nation's first president. You will have time to enjoy LUNCH ON OWN AT THE ESTATE CAFE, and at a reserved time, you will step inside the Mansion itself. This highly visited historic house retains many of the original furnishings acquired by Washington during his life as a successful Virginia planter.

In the afternoon, board the coach to VISIT YOUR CHOICE OF THE SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION'S WORLD-CLASS MUSEUMS located on the NATIONAL MALL. You can explore a variety of institutions, including the National Museum of American History, the National Museum of Natural History, the National Museum of the American Indian, the National Gallery of Art, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, the National Portrait Gallery, and the National Museum of African Art. Please note that certain popular locations, such as the National Museum of African American History and Culture and the National Air & Space Museum, require advanced tickets that are not included and must be secured individually online.

Conclude your day of exploration with an INCLUDED DINNER AT THE POINT. Perfectly situated at the confluence of the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers, this restaurant features a contemporary design with live green walls, a tranquil open-air patio, and cozy fire pits that complement its panoramic waterfront views. Afterward, you will board the motorcoach and return to the hotel for the evening.

Day Four – Begin your morning by enjoying an INCLUDED BREAKFAST at the hotel, followed by checkout. Afterward, board the motorcoach with your Washington, D.C. guide and depart for a GUIDED MEMORIAL TOUR IN THE CITY. Your first stop is the VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL, a deeply moving, privately funded monument that has drawn millions of visitors to see the names of over 50,000 service members etched into the wall. Next, visit the LINCOLN MEMORIAL, a classic Greek temple-inspired structure overlooking the Reflecting Pool that houses a 19-foot marble statue of the 16th president alongside inscriptions of his most famous speeches. Conclude the memorial tour at the KOREAN WAR VETERANS MEMORIAL, which features a striking field of nineteen ground troop statues clad in battle gear, complemented by hundreds of faces etched onto a polished granite wall to honor those who supported the effort.

Following your morning tour, reboard the coach and travel to UPSIDE ON MOORE FOR LUNCH ON YOUR OWN. This spacious food hall offers a casual atmosphere, an outdoor terrace, a variety of cuisine vendors, and two bars to choose from. After lunch, you will board the motorcoach and begin the journey home, looking forward to an evening arrival.
