Rates are per person and based on the excursion price & length, and guest’s age at time of booking. Travel protection must be purchased at the time of booking and paid in full with the excursion deposit.
Day 1 - Monday, June 13, 2022: Travel to the sandy shores of Cape Cod! Extending some 70 miles into the sea, the Cape is home to both natural beauty and quaint colonial villages. You can walk pristine beaches, revel in the arts and culture, and reclaim childhood memories of seashells, sandcastles, and saltwater taffy. During our journey east, stops will be made for your comfort and lunch on your own. Upon arrival at the Cape, we will check-in to our seaside resort, and you will have a chance to explore the beach before our included dinner.
Day 2 - Tuesday, June 14, 2022: Breakfast is included each morning at the resort. After breakfast, we will meet our step-on guide for a full day of exploring. We’ll travel the historic Route 6A, the Old King’s Highway, a scenic byway winding through centuries of Cape Cod history. It winds past hundreds of historic structures which characterize its early development. View a Windmill, a Cape Cod Lighthouse and visit the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor Center. Sand dunes and the ocean surround you as you approach “Land’s End” – Provincetown. Take some time to enjoy the wonderful variety of restaurants, shops, and galleries that make this artists/fishermen village so unique. From here guest will have a choice of either Whale Watching OR a Dune Tour. We will conclude this evening with dinner included.
Day 3 - Wednesday, June 15, 2022: After breakfast we will embark on the ferry to the island of Martha’s Vineyard. Upon arrival we will board a local bus for a sightseeing tour to learn about the history and lifestyles of the islanders as we pass through Vineyard Haven. There will be free time for lunch and shopping in the historic whaling town of Edgartown. We will complete our day on the island in Oak Bluffs, you can choose to stroll through “Cottage City” with its brightly painted cottages and decorative “gingerbread” trim. A lobster dinner is included this evening, but alternate entrees will be available for anyone not wishing to eat shellfish.
Day 4 - Thursday, June 16, 2022: Following breakfast, we will meet our step-on guide for a tour of Hyannis. This will include the John F. Kennedy Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, Hyannis Port and a view of St. Francis Xavier Church, the summer parish of the Kennedy Family. Admission is included today to the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum. The seas and shores of Hyannis Port inspired our 35th President and it was here that he contemplated his run for office. There will be free time for lunch and shopping on Main Street before returning to your resort for an afternoon of relaxation. You will have the afternoon free to enjoy the beach and the pool before the included dinner this evening.
Day 5 - Friday, June 17, 2022: Enjoy breakfast before we check out and depart for America’s Hometown, Plymouth, MA. Board a Lobster Tales Cruise to learn about the many creatures that live-in Plymouth Harbor. Experience a “hands on” approach to see how lobsters are harvested from their natural environment. Roll up your sleeves to help haul in lobster traps. There will be time for lunch on your own on the waterfront. During your free time you may wish to walk nearby to see the newly restored Mayflower II a reproduction of the ship that brought the Pilgrims to the New World, or Plymouth Rock the traditional site of disembarkation of the Pilgrims in 1620.
Early afternoon, we will depart for home with sand in our shoes, seashells in our pockets and many fond memories. Stops will be made for your comfort and a fast-food dinner on your own en route home.
PLEASE NOTE: Gratuities for local Step-on Guides, Tour Host or Motorcoach Operator are not included. They should be extended on a voluntary, individual basis in relation to the experience.
