TENTATIVE ITINERARY:

Day One - Monday, October 28: Travel to Gettysburg for two nights at the family owned Best Western Hotel Gettysburg. Tonight, a buffet dinner is included at the Dobbin House prior to our Ghosts of Gettysburg walking tour. This 75-minute tour covers three-quarters of a mile and makes stops at historic sites that witnessed the Civil War battle.

Day Two - Tuesday, October 29: Following the included breakfast, we begin our day of immersive history. We will start with a visit to the Gettysburg Museum of the Civil War, in addition to the educational galleries, we will view the film entitled “A New Birth of Freedom” and see the “Gettysburg Cyclorama” that depicts “Pickett’s Charge”. We will set out with a licensed Battlefield Guide to cover the major events of the three-day battle on a driving tour of the park. After lunch on your own in the Visitor’s Center Café, we will visit the Shriver House Museum to hear how the Battle of Gettysburg impacted the citizens of this crossroads town. A family-style dinner with an educational visit from a historical character is included.

Day Three - Wednesday, October 30: After enjoying the including breakfast, we will travel to Hershey, PA to visit America’s Transport Experience – The AACA Museum.  This 71,000 square foot Smithsonian Affiliated Museum is dedicated to the preservation and presentation of motor vehicle history. A highlight of the collection is the original Hershey Kissmobile Cruiser. After our museum visit, transfer to downtown Hershey for free time and lunch on your own along Chocolate Avenue before departing for home.
