TENTATIVE ITINERARY:

Day One – Saturday, June 8, 2024: Travel across Ontario, Canada to Frankenmuth, MI. Stops will be made en route for your comfort and lunch on your own.  Upon arrival in Frankenmuth – take time for some shopping at Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland, the “World’s Largest Christmas Store.” Then, we’ll transfer to downtown for the annual Frankenmuth Bavarian Festival. You can enjoy American-German Food and live entertainment – including Maibaum Dancers. After, check into the Springhill Suites, in nearby Saginaw, MI.


Day Two – Sunday, June 9, 2024: Following breakfast at the hotel, we’ll depart for upper Michigan.  As part of our journey, we will cross “The Mighty Mac.” The Mackinac Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in the western hemisphere and connects the lower peninsula of Michigan with the “UP” or Upper Peninsula.  In St. Ignace, MI we will board our ferry to Mackinac Island. Mackinac Island is a unique vacation spot boasting fine dining, historic sites, and exciting attractions. Upon disembarking onto the island, we have a short walk to check-in to our hotel at the Bicycle Street Inn and enjoy the Lilac Festival activities. Dinner is included this evening at the Yankee Rebel Tavern.


Day Three – Monday, June 10, 2024: Breakfast is included at the hotel before we begin our day with a Carriage Tour of Mackinac Island that will explore the history and natural beauty of this Victorian Oasis where it seems time stands still. Following our tour, we will have a luncheon at the Grand Hotel – a National Historic Landmark in operation since 1887. The hotel has been featured in films such as “This Time for Keeps” and “Somewhere in Time.” The rest of the afternoon and evening will be on your own for independent exploration and to continue to enjoy the Lilac Festival activities.


Day Four – Tuesday, June 11, 2024: After the included breakfast, we’ll catch our ferry over to Mackinac City and head towards Grand Rapids, MI with lunch on your own en route. On arrival we will visit the Gerald R. Ford Museum. Here you can learn more about the 38th President who represented the local 5th district of Michigan for 25 years in congress. You’ll have time to visit his presidential museum and on-site grave and memorial. Dinner is included this evening.


Day Five – Wednesday, June 12, 2024: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checkout. We’ll start our day with a visit to the Frederick Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. This 158-acre complex is home to hundreds of sculptures, numerous themed gardens, and Michigan’s largest tropical conservatory. During a guided tram tour, you will see the collections highlights, including the 24-foot tall American Horse, inspired by Renaissance master Leonardo da Vinci. After, we’ll depart for home with comfort stops and meals on your own along the way.

All passengers traveling into CANADA OR INTERNATIONALLY  are required to present proof of citizenship before boarding the coach.

IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THAT EACH PERSON HAS THIS PROOF WITH THEM. ANYONE WHO CANNOT SHOW PROPER I.D. TO THE TOUR HOST, WILL BE DENIED ENTRY ONTO THE COACH.  FURTHERMORE, THERE WILL BE NO REFUND GIVEN FOR THE MISSED TOUR.
