TENTATIVE ITINERARY:

Day One – Monday, September 9: Depart for Hillman, MI.   Check into the Thunder Bay Resort for a one night stay. Enjoy the award-winning Elk Viewing Horse-Drawn Carriage with Gourmet Dinner & Wine Tasting - Board a carriage pulled by Percheron and Belgian draft horses for a 4-hour adventure. It is literally "over the river and through the woods" where you will view elk in their natural surroundings. A guide on-board each carriage will provide you with information about these magnificent animals. Then it's on to the Elk Antler Log Cabin furnished with period antiques and trophies. Before your eyes on 100-year-old wood cook stoves, the chef will prepare and serve a superb 5-course gourmet dinner accompanied by a tasting of wines from nearby Stoney Acres Winery. During dinner before the large stone fireplace guests will learn about the habits of the elk, hear the mating "bugle," and handle massive, shed antlers. The owner offers a humorous monolog of how this event began over 20 years ago in a one-room hunting shack with no electricity or indoor plumbing and how it has evolved.

Day Two – Tuesday, September 10: Breakfast is included at the Hotel followed by check out. We’re off mid-morning to Charlevoix, MI.

Lunch & Tour of Castle Farms - Tour Castle Farms - Built in 1918, this beautiful French Renaissance castle offers groups a guided walking tour of the soaring towers, stone buildings, and sweeping gardens inspired by European design. Vintage museum quality collections of castles, toys, and WWI artifacts are displayed throughout the buildings, along with royal family memorabilia. The Castle’s Outdoor Model Railroad (seasonal), with more than 70 G-scale trains operating on 2,500 feet of track, is the largest in the state of Michigan.

Depart for St. Ignace, MI – crossing the Mighty Mack Bridge then onto Shepler’s Ferry Service to Mackinaw Island where we will check in on THE ISLAND for two nights. Enjoy an included Dinner at Yankee Rebel Tavern.

Day Three – Wednesday, September 11: Breakfast at the Hotel.  Next, we will enjoy a Horse Drawn Carriage Tour of Mackinac Island.  Our tour takes us to the Grand Hotel for their famous Grand Buffet. The remainder of the day and evening are at your leisure.

Day Four – Thursday, September 12: Breakfast at the Hotel.  Depart for Shepler’s Ferry Service to St. Ignace, MI. Next, we set forth for  McMillan Township, MI for a visit & guided tour of Upper Tahquamenon Falls.  Lunch at Tahquamenon Falls Brewery & Pub. Following lunch, we’re off to Munising, MI for a relaxing and picturesque tour. Check into the Holiday Inn Express Munising for 1 Night – Lake View Rooms.  Enjoy a Michigan Pasty Supper at the Hotel.

Day Five – Friday, September 13: Breakfast at the Hotel.  Depart for Manistique, MI. Visit Palms Book State Park “Big Springs “Kitch-iti-kipi” – Kitch-iti-kipi is Michigan’s largest spring. It is 200’ in diameter, 42′ deep and delivers 16,000 gallons of crystal-clear water per minute. You can ride the raft for a beautiful view across the spring. A must see!!!

Depart for Mackinaw City, MI  for our lunch on own before we depart for Frankenmuth, MI.

Check into a Local Hotel for 1 Night before we enjoy Chicken Dinner at a great Frankenmuth restaurant followed by shopping at Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland.

Day Six – Saturday, September 14: Breakfast at the Hotel.  Check out and depart for Home.

GUESTS MUST HAVE VALID PASSPORT OR ENHANCED LICENSE AS WE WILL BE TRAVELING THROUGH CANADA TO OUR MICHIGAN DESTINATION.
