TENTATIVE ITINERARY:

Day One - Monday, May 13, 2024: Travel south to the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country and check into the Eden Resort and Suites in Lancaster, PA. After some time to refresh, you will visit Shady Maple Smorgasbord and Gift Shop - home to Lancaster County's largest Smorgasbord. What began as a roadside vegetable stand nestled in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country has now become an expansive buffet-style restaurant and a large farm market with its own bakery, smokehouses and impressive product department. The smorgasboard menu features a different grill specialty every night of the week along with seven other meats, 14 vegetables, plus 40 salad bar items and over 30 desserts. Shady Maple's cooks prepare great-tasting food in a traditional Pennsylvania Dutch Style. After feasting on the all-you-can-eat smorgasbord, your group will be delighted to explore their gigantic 41,000-square foot gift shop located on the lower level. The gift shop showcases hundreds of unique gift items including collectibles, candies, and Amish-crafted furniture. 

Day Two - Tuesday, May 14, 2024: After a hearty included breakfast, take a horse-drawn wagon ride through the Amish countryside and view daily life on the farm. Then transfer to the Sight and Sound Theatre and take your seats on the main floor for a creative team's newest production - DANIEL. 

Taken from his people, Daniel is exiled far from home in the powerful kingdom of Babylon. Now this faithful servant must navigate his new life inside a palace filled with golden statues and shifting empites. As royal pressures mount, Daniel is faced with a dangerous choice. Will his trust in the one true God remain steadfast through every test of faith ? From the fiery furnace to the infamous den of lions, DANIEL is a spectacular theatrical experience for the whole family.

After the show, you will enjoy a home-hosted meal with a local Amish family. Enjoy their kind and gracious hospitality as the family serves you a delicious Penn Dutch feast. A typical meal will include two meat entrees, mashed potatoes, buttered noodles, vegetables, assorted cold relishes, homemade bread, beverage, and desserts. Following dinner you will make your way home with a comfort stop en route.
