TENTATIVE ITINERARY:

Day One - Saturday, April 22: Celebrate and honor the rich history, pageantry, and dedication of the armed services in America and abroad as we travel to Virginia Beach for The 2023 Virginia International Tattoo.  After a day of traveling, arrive at our hotel in Woodbridge, Virginia to refresh before enjoying an included dinner at a local restaurant.

Day Two - Sunday, April 23: Breakfast is included daily. We will continue our journey to Virginia Beach and arrive for an included Pre-Tattoo lunch at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside for the 4th Annual Virginia International Tattoo LIVE Meet & Greet. Performers will be on-hand to answer questions and give their personal insight on the event. After lunch we will take our premium reserved seats at Scope Arena for the International Tattoo performance. A spectacle of military splendor that is part parade, part theater, and sometimes, part circus. The Tattoo feature bands, military drill teams, and more. Afterwards, we will check into The Oceanfront Inn with an evening on your own at the Virginia Beach Boardwalk.

Day Three - Monday, April 24: Today we will tour the Military Aviation Museum and take a trip back to a time when the aircraft were spectacular and learn why our heroes never let us down. See one of the largest collections of WWII military aircraft in the world. A Patriotic Lunch is included in the hanger of the Virginia Aviation Museum with live entertainment featuring WWII era music. Our day at the museum concludes with a special flight demonstration (pending weather). Tonight’s included dinner offers you the chance to dress-up if you wish – we will be off to the Grand Affairs Event Center for A Mermaid Beach Bash with a nautical theme. Dinner will feature passed hors d’oeuvres, buffet dinner and cash bar. The original Rhondels will be providing tonight’s entertainment as they perform classic hits, including their own.

Day Four - Tuesday, April 25: Start the day with a tram tour of the Norfolk Botanical Gardens, followed by lunch on your own at the Norfolk Waterfront Marketplace. Following lunch, tour Nauticus, The National Maritime Center – an exciting science and technology center exploring the power of the sea. Included is a visit to the USS Wisconsin, one of the largest battleships ever built. Afterwards, we will head to the Douglas MacArthur Memorial – a museum and research center dedicated to preserving and presenting the story of the life of General Douglas MacArthur. Concluding our day, enjoy free time and dinner on your own along the boardwalk in Virginia Beach.

Day Five - Wednesday, April 26: After checking out, we will have opportunity to tour The National Museum of the Marine Corps with lunch on your own and a showing of “We, the Marines”. A visit to the Quantico National Cemetery will be included and features a presentation by a Missing in America Project volunteer. Next stop is the Workhouse Arts Center and the Lucy Burns Museum – which examines the 91-year history of the former Lorton Prison Complex and its ties to the women’s suffrage movement. Dinner for the evening will be included at a local restaurant before we check-in to our hotel.

Day Six - Thursday, April 27: Before heading home we will visit the NEW National Museum of the United States Army - which celebrates over 240 years of Army history and honors our nation's soldiers.  Lunch is on your own en route home.
