Travel to North Tonawanda and the former Wurlitzer Jukebox Factory site. Today, this former factory is home to several companies, including our first stop - Platter’s Chocolate Factory. A tour guide will share the history of this Buffalo institution that started in Carl and Vera Platter’s basement in 1938 and explain the chocolate making process as you view their live production. Each guest will receive a chocolate treat to take home.

Lunch is included at a nearby favorite restaurant, Panes Restaurant.  Enjoy a sit-down lunch by choosing from two entrees (To be announced closer to the date).

The afternoon takes us down the road to another iconic facility - The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum. Learn about the areas’ history as the epicenter of carousel and amusement ride production during a docent led tour. The tour will include the chance to indulge your inner child as you take a spin on the museum’s Number One Special, aka “The Big Carrousel”.  

Our last stop of the day is at the candy and gift emporium - Kelly’s Country Store, on Grand Island. This excursion is sure to indulge your sweet tooth and allow you to embrace your inner child as we explore the world of candy and carousels.
