TENTATIVE ITINERARY:

Day One – Tuesday, August 18, 2026: A morning departure has you traveling into the AMISH COUNTRY OF OHIO. Arrive at LEHMAN'S HARDWARE & GENERAL STORE where you can find anything and everything, except electricity. The three pre-Civil War era buildings even include the buggy barn demonstration room, antiques, old-fashioned treats & sodas and every type of non-electric tool and appliance imaginable. There will be time for lunch on your own in their café before heading to Berlin, OH where lodging has been arranged for the group in the area. Tonight, enjoy a delicious DINNER, then it’s off to the AMISH COUNTRY THEATER for a performance of either BRINGING HOME THE BACON or MACHO MULE, the latest barn-busting comedy variety shows. Everyone’s favorite country bumpkin, Lynyrd is back with his quick wit and farm-fresh shenanigans along with the The Beachys, whose unique song parodies continue to entertain and amuse. World-renown ventriloquist, Kevin Johnson, rounds out the show with his unforgettable cast of characters making this a truly unique evening of fun for everyone.

Day Two – Wednesday, August 19, 2026: After breakfast, visit YODER'S AMISH HOME & FARM where you will learn of life in an Amish community. You’ll begin with a GUIDED TOUR THROUGH THE TWO HOUSES AND FARM full of farm animals, where you’ll learn about the history and customs of the Amish faith. Later, visit the ONE-ROOM SCHOOLHOUSE and meet the experienced Amish teacher who will explain how the Amish parochial school system is run. No visit would be complete without the opportunity to take a RIDE IN AN AUTHENTIC AMISH BUGGY, which takes you out around the hay field with a driver from the Amish Church. After your visit, continue to WALNUT CREEK CHEESE where you can find unique bulk items, Amish delicacies and crafts and enjoy lunch on your own in their Mudd Valley Café. In the afternoon, head for the OHIO STAR THEATER AT DUTCH VALLEY for a performance of PROPHET OF FIRE: A MUSICAL OF THE DAYS OF ELIJAH. Take a musical trip through the Bible to the days of the prophet, Elijah. From his defeat of the prophets of the pagan god Baal by calling down fire to his ascension to heaven aboard a fiery chariot, you’ll be consumed with this thrilling new production. Following the show, visit nearby BREITENBACH WINE CELLARS where you may want to sample some of their fine wines before returning to DUTCH VALLEY RESTAURANT for a traditional FAMILY-STYLE DINNER.

Day Three – Thursday, August 20, 2026: Enjoy breakfast, then check out and depart for the WARTHER MUSEUM & GARDENS. Visit the home of the World’s Master Carver to view Ernest Warther’s carving collection featuring unbelievably intricate works in ebony and ivory. You will also see the original workshop, Swiss gardens and Mrs. Warther’s button collection. Following your visit, depart for home with fond memories of the OHIO AMISH COUNTRY.
