TENTATIVE ITINERARY:

Day One - Tuesday, September 8, 2026: Board your luxury motor coach and depart for Lancaster PA where you will check in to The Eden Resort & Suites. This world class resort boasts two restaurants and cocktail lounge on premises, three pools, including large indoor heated pool with whirlpool spa. After time to freshen up, you will make your way to White Chimneys for an INCLUDED DINNER. Enjoy a "served" buffet style meaL in a historic tobacco barn. Homemade rolls, jam, butter, chow chow, pickles, baked chicken and roast beef with 2 seasonal vegetables, mashed potatoes and buttered noodles, warm apple crisp with vanilla ice cream, water iced tea, and coffee will be served before a fantastic performance by local favorites, Ryan & Friends.

Day Two - Wednesday, September 9, 2026: Enjoy an included Buffet Breakfast at the hotel before departing for GETTYSBURG, PA.  and the Gettysburg Museum of the Civil War, featuring items from one of the largest collections of Civil War relics in the world, is available for viewing during regular center hours. The exhibit galleries and interactive programs take the viewer through the causes of the Civil War to its bloody end, with extensive displays on the battle of Gettysburg and the personalities who served in the armies as well as the civilians who experienced war on their doorsteps.

A 20-minute film entitled "A New Birth of Freedom" about the Battle of Gettysburg is shown every 15 minutes throughout the day. Visitors then go directly to the cyclorama auditorium to view the "Gettysburg Cyclorama" the dramatic 1884 painting that depicts "Pickett's Charge".

Lunch is on your own in The Refreshment Saloon at the Museum, modeled after actual refreshment saloons that existed during the Civil War to offer wary soldiers a place to have a meal and a brief respite from the harsh realities of war. The varied menu includes "Tastes of the Period" and features dishes like beef stew, slippery chicken pot pie and Gettysburg chili served with cornbread. For dessert, don't miss the giant snickerdoodle cookies.

After lunch, experience countless stories and breathtaking landmarks, terrain, vistas and monuments with a Licensed Battlefield Guide and tour, licensed by the National Park Service as a historic interpreter of the major events of the three-day Battle of Gettysburg. The Guide will board the coach and lead your group back in history on a two-hour tour covering approximately 25 miles of the historic Battlefield.

Later, after returning to Lancaster, venture out onto the "Roads Less Traveled" through the heart of the Amish Farmlands on another guided tour. Enjoy picturesque scenery as you meander across country roads where time seems to stand still. See the pristine Amish farms, one-room schoolhouses, windwheels, Amish "phone booths" and farmers working the fields with their horse or mule-drawn plows. Stop at an Amish Quilt & Craft Shop, right on an Amish farm! Have an opportunity to meet the Amish in person as you browse through a colorful array of exquisite handmade quilts and unique country crafts. A down on the Farm Amish Dinner is in store this evening as an authentic PA Dutch Family Style meal is prepared and served by an Amish family on their family farm.

Day Three - Thursday, September 10, 2026: After Breakfast at the hotel, travel to Bird in Hand farmer’s market featuring approximately 30 local vendors offering a wide variety of homemade baked goods, spices, bulk foods, specialty teas and coffee, fresh fruits and vegetables, canned goods and preserves, meats, cheese, nuts, dips, fudge and candy.

After, BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS! From the banks of the Jordan River to the towering walls of Jericho, JOSHUA is a miraculous adventure for the whole family. Experience one of the most redemptive stories of the Bible as it comes to life in this brand-new original stage production at Sight & Sound Theatre.

After the performance, the destination of this Lancaster visit will be Kitchen Kettle Village, a place for sharing laughter, carving out family time, and relishing a Lancaster, PA hospitality experience. This quaint, walkable village of local cooks, quilters, and shopkeepers will be a great location to shop and grab some lunch on your own before departing for home!
