TENTATIVE ITINERARY:

Day One – Wednesday, June 10, 2026: Our adventure begins as we travel through Canada en route to Grosse Pointe Shores, MI, where we’ll tour the magnificent Ford House. Built in 1928 in the romantic English Cotswold style, this stately home showcases the Ford family’s original furnishings, fine art, and exquisite craftsmanship. Stroll the 87-acre grounds designed by famed landscape architect Jens Jensen, complete with vibrant gardens, charming outbuildings, and serene lakefront views. We then make our way to the Bavarian-inspired village of Frankenmuth. After checking into the Drury Inn & Suites Frankenmuth, enjoy a hearty included dinner at the famous Zehnder’s restaurant, known for its world-class hospitality and legendary family-style chicken dinners.

Day Two – Thursday, June 11, 2026: After breakfast and checkout, we visit Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland, the world’s largest Christmas store, for a dose of holiday magic any time of year. We’ll then journey north to St. Ignace, where—if available—a local guide will join us for a scenic crossing of the Mackinac Bridge. A ferry will whisk us across the sparkling waters to Mackinac Island, where cars are replaced by horse-drawn carriages and bicycles. We check into the Bicycle Street Inn for a two-night stay. Dinner tonight is at the cozy and historic Yankee Rebel Tavern.

Day Three – Friday, June 12, 2026: Following breakfast at Winchester’s, we embark on a classic horse-drawn carriage tour of the island, taking in Victorian architecture, scenic overlooks, and fragrant lilac blooms. A highlight of the day is the Grand Hotel’s legendary luncheon buffet, an indulgent spread served in one of the most iconic resorts in America. The afternoon is yours to enjoy the Lilac Festival activities, explore boutique shops, or simply relax and take in the island’s timeless charm. Dinner tonight is on your own, offering plenty of local options.

Day Four – Saturday, June 13, 2026: After breakfast, we take the ferry back to Mackinaw City and head south toward Grand Rapids. En route, enjoy a box lunch at the James & Shirley Balk Café. Our next stop is the stunning Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, where a guided tram tour reveals world-class sculptures, themed gardens, and serene natural landscapes. This evening, we settle into the Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Downtown before enjoying an included dinner at a local restaurant.

Day Five – Sunday, June 14, 2026: After breakfast, we depart for home, making comfort and lunch stops along the way—bringing back memories of Michigan’s history, charm, and scenic beauty.
