TENTATIVE ITINERARY:

Day One - Wednesday, June 9, 2027 - Our group will travel via luxury motor coach. Our first night’s accommodations is South Portland. Check in to the DOUBLETREE HOTEL IN SOUTH PORTLAND, MAINE, located 5 miles from Portland's Old Port and across the street from Maine's largest mall with shops and restaurants. The hotel features an outdoor pool, full-service restaurant and lounge. A welcome reception is served on arrival with the famous DoubleTree cookies. A Maine “Lobsterette” will meet you at the hotel and provide Canada declaration cards for your crossing tomorrow. Dinner on own prior to arriving to the hotel or at the hotel.


Day Two - Thursday, June 10, 2027 – A full BUFFET BREAKFAST is included at the hotel this morning. Depart and travel to West Gardiner, Maine. You’ll stop at THE CENTER FOR MAINE CRAFT. The Center for Maine Craft is a retail store and gallery selling and exhibiting the work of over 300 Maine craft artists. One of two unique retail locations operated by Shop Maine Craft. You’ll find one-of-a-kind original artwork, handcrafted furniture, and short-term or limited edition works. All work for sale at the Center is handcrafted by Maine craft artists or produced by small Maine companies. Next, we set forth for the Bangor area where we arrive at Dysart’s Restaurant in Herman for lunch on own. Continue north to Calais, Maine where you’ll cross the border into the PROVINCE OF NEW BRUNSWICK (turn watches ahead 1 hour). Over the border, continue on to your hotel in SAINT JOHN, NEW BRUNSWICK, where you will meet your LOCAL PROFESSIONAL TOUR GUIDE, who will stay with you throughout the Canadian portion of your tour. Then, enjoy a BRIEF TOUR of the LOYALIST CITY, including a stop at the REVERSING FALLS SKYWALK before enjoying an included DINNER.


Day Three - Friday, June 11, 2027 – Enjoy BREAKFAST at your hotel this morning before departing for FUNDY NATIONAL PARK, one of the Marine Wonders of the World, known for the highest tides in the world. Experience HOPEWELL ROCKS where tides have gouged four-story flowerpot sculptures from the cliffs. From Hopewell Rocks, travel to the Shediac area to enjoy a LOBSTER BOAT EXPERIENCE.* *This experience allows you to haul in real lobster traps, learn about the lobster and fishery, learn about cooking and cracking lobster and finally savor a freshly cooked lobster dinner on-board.  TRAVEL TO PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND after crossing over the LONGEST CONTINUOUS MULTI-SPAN BRIDGE, THE CONFEDERATION BRIDGE. Continue to your Charlottetown hotel, your home for the next two nights.


Day Four - Saturday, June 12, 2027 – BREAKFASTis included this morning. Your day begins with A WALKING TOUR OF DOWNTOWN CHARLOTTETOWN for those who wish to participate.  The rest of the day is dedicated to all things, “ANNE”.  Your first visit of the day will be to THE BIRTHPLACE OF AUTHOR LUCY MAUD MONTGOMERY IN NEW LONDON.  Next visit GREEN GABLES HERITAGE HOUSE, the inspiration for Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic tale of fiction “Anne of Green Gables”. While in the Cavendish area, you may also check out LUCY MAUD MONTGOMERY'S CAVENDISH HOME. Head back towards Charlottetown, driving through PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND NATIONAL PARK, renowned for its red sandstone cliffs, rolling sand dunes and lush green fields. In Charlottetown, enjoy some free time strolling through the city before your INCLUDED DINNER.


Day Five - Sunday, June 13, 2027 – BREAKFAST is included this morning. Depart Charlottetown and travel to Wood Islands, where you will cross the NORTHUMBERLAND STRAIT via a 75-MINUTE FERRY RIDE TO NOVA SCOTIA, making your way to HALIFAX, Nova Scotia’s capital city where you will enjoy a TOUR OF THE HISTORIC PORT CITY. Highlights include visiting CITADEL HILL NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE, Victorian PUBLIC GARDENS, and the Historic Properties. You will hear stories of Halifax during the war years, including the Halifax Explosion and the city’s role in the recovery operations after the Titanic disaster. Check-in to your downtown Halifax accommodation for a two-night stay and enjoy an INCLUDED DINNER.


Day Six - Monday, June 14, 2027 – BREAKFAST is included. This morning, head to PEGGY'S COVE, a NOVA SCOTIA LANDMARK. The fishing village of 60 people is situated on solid granite rock above the crashing North Atlantic Surf. Continue to the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE OF LUNENBURG for time to stroll and learn about the historic townsite. Upon returning to Halifax later in the afternoon, stop into MAHONE BAY to enjoy A VIEW OF THE TRINITY OF CHURCHES. Enjoy an INCLUDED DINNER in the city.  


Day Seven - Tuesday, June 15, 2027 – BREAKFAST is included this morning. Travel across country through Nova Scotia’s beautiful ANNAPOLIS VALLEY, the agricultural region of the province. Visit the FRENCH ACADIAN SITE OF GRAND PRE. It is here that the British expelled over 10,000 Acadians in 1755 to maintain a "British" North America. Continue through the Annapolis Valley with stops at the LOOK-OFF AND HALL'S HARBOUR before heading to Digby to board the FERRY to SAINT JOHN, where you will spend your final night in Canada.


Day Eight - Wednesday, June 16, 2027 – Say farewell to your "Kilted Guide" tour director in Saint John. Thank you for visiting and enjoy your fond memories of Atlantic Canada. Travel from St. John, New Brunswick to St. Stephen, where you will re-cross the border to Calais, Maine. Don’t turn watches back yet, stay on “Atlantic Time.” Rest Stop after border crossing – heading to Lubec, Maine. Cross border in Lubec, ME to Campobello Island in New Brunswick! (2 border crossing here, US & Canada). Visit the INTERNATIONAL ISLAND OF CAMPOBELLO, where FDR vacationed with his family, where you’ll be crossing the border again. Go back in history and tour the 34-room "cottage" occupied 1905-1921 by the FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT FAMILY. A 15-minute film telling the story of Roosevelt's "beloved island" is shown at the visitor center. You’ll enjoy a BOXED LUNCH here. Cross border Campobello Island to Lubec, ME  (2 border crossing here, Canada & US). Turn watches back one hour, to Eastern Standard Time. Travel to Bangor, Maine.  DINNER included at a local favorite in Bangor area   Continue back to South Portland, ME  Return to the DOUBLETREE HOTEL for your final night stay in South Portland. 


Day Nine - Thursday, June 17, 2027 - A BUFFET BREAKFAST included at the hotel. You’ll depart with your magical memories of Maine & the Maritimes.
