Depart aboard a deluxe motorcoach for MARYLAND. Rest and meal stops will be made en route. Later today, we will arrive in the LAUREL, MARYLAND area for a delightful four-night stay. 

Saturday, October 19, 2024: This morning after BREAKFAST we journey into our nation's capital. Embark on a GUIDED TOUR OF WASHINGTON D.C.'S, MONUMENTS AND MEMORIALS. Stops will be made at the WORLD WAR II WAR MEMORIAL, LINCOLN MEMORIAL, KOREAN WAR MEMORIAL, AND VIETNAM WAR MEMORIAL. Additional sights include CAPITOL HILL, WHITE HOUSE, WASHINGTON MONUMENT, EMBASSY ROW, JEFFERSON MEMORIAL, AND TIDAL BASIN AREA. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to explore the SMITHSONIAN MUSEUMS. Choose from the National Museum of American History, National Air & Space Museum, National Museum of the American Indian or National Museum of Natural History. This evening, we embark on a delightful DINNER CUISE ON THE POTOMAC RIVER.

Sunday, October 20, 2024: BREAKFAST at the hotel before traveling to BALTIMORE and embarking on a GUIDED SIGHTSEEING TOUR. Visit FORT MCHENRY which was instrumental in saving the city from British occupation during the War of 1812. It was here where Francis Scott Key penned our National Anthem. Travel through the quaint neighborhoods of Federal Hills, Fells Point, and Little Italy. A stop will be made at the beautiful BALTIMORE BASILICA, the nation's oldest Catholic Cathedral. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure at the Inner Harbor. Once home to decaying factories and warehouses, the Inner Harbor is now a showplace of gleaming office buildings and glass-enclosed pavilions which offer a wonderful selection of restaurants, shops, and sightseeing attractions. Options include the National Aquarium, Historic Ships Maritime Museum, Top of the World Observation Level and Harborplace. This evening, we gather for DINNER at a local restaurant.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2024: BREAKFAST at the hotel before departing for ANNAPOLIS, capital city of Maryland and one of the oldest cities in the country. Enjoy a GUIDED TOUR OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL ACADEMY. Established in 1845, the academy is the undergraduate college of the United States Navy. Experience behind-the-scenes-look at the life of a midshipman and the rich and tumultuous history of the United States Navy. Later today, we visit the MARYLAND STATE HOUSE, the oldest state capitol in continuous legislative use. Enojy the afternoon at leisure for lunch and shopping along Main Street in the historic district of Annapolish. Return to our hotel for the night. 

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2024: BREAKFAST AT THE HOTEL. Later today, we leave the Mid-Atlantic area and begin our journey home. Rest and meal stops will be made en route.
