TENTATIVE ITINERARY:

Day One - Friday, December 12: Depart by motorcoach for BETHLEHEM, PENNSYLVANIA.  Rest and meal stops (at own expense) will be made periodically.  Later this afternoon we arrive in historic Bethlehem for a memorable two-night stay.  The city of Bethlehem, known as the “Christmas City,” was founded by members of The Moravian Church in 1741.  Enjoy a stop at Gemeinhaus, the oldest building in Bethlehem and home to the Moravian Museum, where more than 250 years of history comes to life.  The entire Moravian community once lived, learned, worked and worshipped here.  This evening we gather for dinner at a local restaurant. Following dinner we embark on a delightful night tour of Bethlehem.  Experience the wonderful architecture and beautiful colonial-era buildings of Bethlehem’s historic district on the scenic ride through this lovely city.  The evening concludes with a breathtaking view of Bethlehem and the entire Lehigh Valley from atop South Mountain, home of the famous Star of Bethlehem.

Day Two - Saturday, December 13: This morning after breakfast we explore Christkindlmarkt Bethlehem.  Originating in Germany as an advent tradition, Christkindlmarkts unite communities in a celebration of the holiday season by offering a variety of food and drink, holiday ornaments and unique handcrafted gifts.  Recognized as one of the top holiday markets in the country by Travel & Leisure Magazine, Christkindlmarkt Bethlehem features aisles of exquisite handmade works by the nation’s finest artisans, the heart-warming sounds of live holiday music and food from around the world.  Later today enjoy free time in historic downtown Bethlehem.  Experience the Christmas Huts on Main, an outdoor shopping experience inspired by the German Weihnachtsmarkt located along the city’s Main Street. Here, local vendors offer up handmade and unique items from wooden huts dotted along the city streets.  Along with a variety of shops and restaurants, optional sights include the Central Moravian Church, Hotel Bethlehem and Moravian Book Store – the oldest bookstore in the country.

Day Three - Thursday, December 11: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.  This morning the charm and history of an old-fashioned Moravian Christmas continues at the Christmas Putz exhibition.  The Christmas Putz is a retelling of the story of Christ’s birth through narration and music, while tiny lights illuminate each miniature scene. Continue on to the Kemerer Museum of decorative arts, featuring holiday exhibits from the past, including its wonderful Christmas tree exhibition.  Later today we depart Bethlehem and begin our journey home.  Rest and pay on own meal stops will be made periodically.
