Visit Western New York’s first lavender farm, KIN LOCH FARM. The sandy soil, once part of ancient Lake Ontario, now supports over 2,500 lavender plants across eight varieties including English and French types like Hidcote Giant, Gros Bleu, and Royal Velvet. With scissors in hand and the sun overhead, you’ll gather your own aromatic bouquet, soaking in the calming scent and buzzing energy of pollinators around you. Whether you’re drawn to deep purple Grosso stems or delicate Hidcote blooms, the experience is as therapeutic as it is photogenic. Staff will guide you through the picking process and offer insight into the farm’s growing techniques, sustainable practices, and uses for fresh and dried lavender—from culinary to craft. After your time in the field, relax under shaded tents or a rustic barn with a guided tasting featuring a selection of New York State wines. After your morning at the farm, you will head to Lewiston, NY for a tasty lunch in the village and enjoy some free time walking the shops.
